Claire specialises in high end residential projects for private and Private Estate clients, with over 20 years’ experience in the conservation, refurbishment and alteration of Listed and Non-Listed Country House and Country Estate properties in London and the Home Counties. Her work focusses on balancing improvements to performance of the envelope and fabric with sensitive, contemporary interventions to sustainably extend and enhance a building’s life and purpose in the context of its setting.

Claire recently led the design for the refurbishment of Grade I Listed Crowhurst Place in Surrey and is currently on site with a large Grade I Listed Manor House on a Private Estate in Berkshire. She is also shortly to commence the refurbishment of a Grade II* Listed Farmhouse which incorporates a ‘Chapel’, parts of which date from the 11^th Century for a long standing private residential client in Buckinghamshire.

Claire has worked extensively in the Hambleden Valley, on properties protected by the National Trust ‘Greenlands Covenant’ for both private individuals and the Culden Faw Estate and on new build properties onthe Phillimore Estate as well as Thameside properties in Marlow and Henley.

Prior to joining Spratley & Partners in 2006, Claire worked for 10 years on historic projects in London including the Palace of Westminster for the Crown Estate and the Old Admiralty Building for the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.

As an Associate, Claire is also responsible for mentoring Part 3 students and has extensive Specification writing experience across the range of office projects.
